Kiana Carter, LCSWA - Therapist

Hello! I’m Kiana Carter. I was born in New Jersey and moved to North Carolina when I was about 11 years old. Growing up, sports were a huge part of my life, and basketball quickly became my passion. I played basketball through college, and today I’m still a proud and enthusiastic WNBA and NBA fan. My experiences as an athlete have given me a unique understanding of the pressures, expectations, confidence challenges, and emotional experiences that can come with sports.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While at UNC Charlotte, I specialized in Integrated Behavioral Health and earned a certificate in the field.
With more than two years of professional experience, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and develop the tools they need to thrive. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sport-related stress and anxiety.
As a therapist, I strive to create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and free of judgment. I believe that everyone deserves a place where they can be heard, understood, and supported while being their authentic selves.
I’m excited to connect with you and look forward to being part of your journey toward greater well-being.
