Hi, I’m Jen Lyash, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, who earned my graduate degree from Wake Forest University. As a member of the Waxhaw community, I value the opportunity to serve and support individuals and families in this area.

I believe strongly in the mind–body connection and take a holistic approach to mental health. In addition to counseling, I am a trained yoga teacher and can thoughtfully incorporate yoga, mindfulness, or meditation into sessions for clients who are interested. My goal is always to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly. I strive to be empathetic, open-minded, and nonjudgmental in my work.

I work with clients ages 13 and up and am especially passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults. I am inspired by the resilience, potential, and strength young people possess, and I aim to help them protect and strengthen their mental health as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is individualized and collaborative, grounded in person-centered, solution-focused, and multicultural counseling principles.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with my dogs, practicing yoga, and getting lost in a good book. I look forward to meeting you and working together toward your goals.
