Have you ever been told, “Why are you so quiet?”, “What’s wrong—I know something is because you’re quiet,” or “You’re so loud,” “You’re bossy,” or “Your work is great, now let’s talk about your attitude”? “You’re too much.” All the dismissive, demeaning not-quite compliments? Yep—me too, ever since I was a wee girl. Additionally, I am top of the totem poll when it comes to code switching. You may be wondering why this is pertinent? The aforementioned is why I am truly able to remain unbiased. Why I see you. Why I hear you. I do not offer support, I do not offer help, and I do not offer assistance. I will, however, accompany you on your journey and your paths to whatever your goal is.

Hi! My name is Antoinette—please call me Toni. No, it’s not a boy’s name. And yes, Antoinette is beautiful; sadly most people mispronounce it, so Toni keeps things simple. I may be a “new” therapist, but I am not new to life. I provide trauma-informed telehealth therapy across North Carolina for people who are tired of being unheard, dismissed, or labeled. I work with individuals 16 years and older, find their footing and navigate life’s unexpected transitions. My work is grounded, real-world, and built for those ready to stop pretending and start rebuilding from truth. Rooted in lived experience and evidence-based practices, I help you reclaim your voice, untangle life’s messier chapters, and turn chaos into something at least halfway functional. My sessions are slow, intentional, and centered entirely on you. Your path is yours. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rise—your way. Take the first step toward clarity and resilience.

Through lived experience and evidence-based approaches—including grounding, movement, and creative practices—I help you navigate life’s messier chapters and reclaim your voice. I’m basically a pro at turning chaos into something halfway functional. Born under Arizona’s sun and forged in North Carolina’s clinical grind, I’ve collected grit, grace, and the occasional dramatic sigh along the way. The desert taught me this: growth happens even where it seems impossible. Therapy works the same way.

Who I Work With:
I work with independent women and men—or those learning to embrace independence—as well as teens and older adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity shifts, grief, and life’s unpredictability. My style is conversational, body-aware, and down-to-earth. I blend talk therapy with body-based work, creative expression, and yes, sometimes even board games. Walk, paint, bake, draw, or move—your path is yours (with medical clearance if needed).

A Little About Me:
Scorpio rising, Capricorn moon: intense, mysterious, and emotional when life throws in math I definitely didn’t sign up for. Sarcasm and humor are my love languages. I thrive in organized chaos and find my own therapy in nature, hiking, cooking, baking, painting, photography, and crafting—sometimes turning the mess into art. My path has been beautifully nonlinear: pregnant at 17, mom at 18 to a son who later served eight years in the Army, paramedic in my 30s, BS in Fitness & Wellness just before 40, and a master’s earned just after 49. I may be a newer therapist, but I’m not new to life’s chaos, grit, and joy. Every step taught me to meet you where you are—not where society says you should be. Introverted at heart, I prefer quiet trails to loud cities, but I love connecting with people ready to do the messy, meaningful work of growth. Quality over quantity is my motto. Coffee comforts me—it’s less a pick-me-up and more like unofficial Ritalin for my neurospicy brain. Sarcasm keeps me human.

If Therapy Has Ever Felt “Not for You”:
This space is different—warm, honest, human. A place to clear what no longer serves you, plant what’s next, or simply move through the season you’re in. Like a desert bloom, you’ll rise steady, resilient, and maybe a little sarcastic.

Your path is yours. I’m here to walk alongside you as you rise—your way. Let’s do this!
