The first time I set foot in a therapist's office, I felt so defeated. I wondered, what's so wrong with me that I can't handle my own life? Fortunately, my wise counselor said to me, "Seeking help is not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength." I have come to see that it is also a sign of bravery.

To accept the vulnerability one feels when opening up to a new person, to share thoughts and feelings that perhaps have never been spoken out loud, to participate in therapy despite the stigma... well, that takes courage.

With this in mind, I make the counselor-client relationship my top priority. The connection we make is the foundation of growth and change. My greatest passion is helping clients who are experiencing life transitions, particularly adolescents and perinatal women. I employ a person-centered approach to therapy, relying on empathy and an unconditional positive regard for the client. My practice incorporates modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused brief counseling.
